The vision for a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Oyo State has been reinforced with the promotion of the BSA Agenda, a governance framework of The APC gubernatorial Candidate in oyo state, that is built around the pillars of Brighter Future, Secure Communities and Accessible Governance.

The BSA agenda, described as a social contract between government and the people, seeks to provide a clear roadmap for sustainable development across the state. The Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli said his agenda focuses on creating long-term opportunities for economic growth, educational advancement and job creation, while addressing immediate concerns surrounding security and public welfare.

According to the Convener of the BSA Vanguard Group, Hon Dr Demilade Akin-Alabi, the “Brighter Future” component of the BSA agenda represents a commitment to investing in human capital and building a stronger economic foundation for future generations. The focus includes improving access to quality education, expanding economic opportunities, creating jobs and ensuring that young people are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

The “Secure Communities” pillar underscores the importance of safety, peace and stability as essential requirements for development. He reiterated that residents can only fully participate in economic and social activities when their lives, properties and means of livelihood are adequately protected. The BSA agenda therefore prioritises measures aimed at strengthening community safety and promoting peaceful coexistence across the state.

Meanwhile, the “Accessible Governance” aspect of the agenda is designed to deepen democratic engagement by promoting transparency, inclusivity and open communication between government and citizens. It seeks to ensure that governance remains people-centred, with residents having greater access to information and opportunities to participate in decision-making processes.

Addressing residents across the state, the gubernatorial candidate Sen Alli urged the state citizens to embrace a collective vision for progress. He noted that Oyo State, widely known as the “Pacesetter State,” has a long history of leadership and innovation, and urged residents to work together in sustaining that legacy.

“My good people of Oyo State—from the historic hills of Ibadan to the vast agricultural lands of Oke-Ogun, from the ancient kingdom of Oyo to the vibrant hubs of Ogbomoso and Ibarapa—we stand at a defining moment in our history. Leadership is in our DNA, but true leadership is not only about what government does today; it is about where it takes the people tomorrow,” he emphasised.

The BSA Vanguard Group maintained that the success of the BSA Agenda will depend on collaboration between government and citizens, emphasizing that the vision of a brighter future, secure communities and accessible governance is best achieved through collective effort and shared responsibility. And why their slogan is BSA Agenda – better seen & achieved together
