I A startling revelation has emerged regarding the internal dynamics of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, as former Park Management System (PMS) chairman, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary, has publicly claimed responsibility for manipulating the party’s gubernatorial primary to secure Governor Seyi Makinde’s path to a second term.

In a resurfaced video interview, Lamidi asserted that the current Governor would have lost the primary election to his rival, Hazeem Gbolarumi, had it not been for his strategic intervention. The former park management boss alleged that Gbolarumi commanded the support of a higher number of delegates than the incumbent Governor at the time. Lamidi boasted that he personally engineered a disruption of the electoral process to prevent a Gbolarumi victory, a move he acknowledges has permanently cast him as an enemy of the 2027 PDP gubernatorial candidate.

This disclosure has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, shedding new light on the intense power struggle that preceded the last gubernatorial election cycle.
