In a major bid to rewrite the narrative of secondary education and eliminate exam failures in Oyo State, an unprecedented tech-driven intervention has been launched to transform the academic fortunes of Senior Secondary (SS 2 and SS 3) students across the region. The ground-breaking initiative, spearheaded by Hon. Remi Oseni, is set to completely digitize West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) preparation through the deployment of the ROSMA Legacy Hub. The strategic program involves the installation of state-of-the-art interactive smart boards across Local Government Areas (LGAs), coupling physical classroom technology with an advanced AI-assisted learning application. This pioneering move effectively democratizes high-end digital education by offering premium learning tools to grassroots communities at zero cost to the students. According to the ROSMA Program Director, Hon. Dr. Demilade Akin-Alabi, this game-changing strategy is explicitly designed to build unstoppable digital confidence while equipping students with the exact tools needed to secure straight A1 grades. He noted that the hub is bringing cutting-edge technology directly to the students to transform how they master core curriculum subjects, conquer upcoming exams, and prepare for a highly digital future. Under this new framework, students will engage with highly visual lessons on advanced smart boards deployed right within their local communities. To tackle tough exam concepts in critical WAEC subjects, the platform utilizes targeted learning missions that strictly mirror actual WAEC question structures and marking schemes. This targeted preparation is paired with an instant correction mechanism, providing immediate feedback and step-by-step solutions the moment an answer is submitted to clear up academic confusion without delay. Beyond standard test preparation, the platform injects a competitive edge into learning through gamified practice. Students can participate in live, game-style challenges, pitting their mathematics and core skills against peers across Oyo State. This approach allows students to sharpen their skills privately and fix academic blind spots automatically without classroom pressure, effectively crushing exam anxiety long before they step into the actual exam hall. Furthermore, the project serves a dual purpose by significantly boosting the digital literacy of the sub-region. By learning to navigate modern, high-tech learning interfaces early, students are being strategically positioned to excel in computer-based university entrance examinations, removing the tech barriers that often hinder grassroots scholars. The ROSMA Legacy Hub centers will officially open their doors to students starting from Mid-June 2026. Senior secondary students within the beneficiary local governments are advised to visit their designated local hub centers, where they will be issued their free access credentials to begin dominating their curriculum.
