In a grand gesture to mark the 84th birthday of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the church’s Continent 3 has launched a massive digital empowerment scheme targeting 8,400 beneficiaries. The initiative, tagged as a “strategic investment in Nigeria’s future,” aims to combat the country’s high unemployment rate by equipping youths and entrepreneurs with high-demand tech skills. The programme is being coordinated by the Love Transformation Academy (the empowerment arm of RCCG Love Assembly, Lagos Province 1) in partnership with Faith Cometh Multimedia Consultants. Speaking at a press conference, the RCCG Continent 3 Overseer, Pastor Johnson Funsho Odesola—represented by Pastor Olalekan Adebekun—stated that the number of beneficiaries was specifically chosen to mirror the General Overseer’s 84th year. “This is not merely a birthday celebration; it is a strategic investment in the future of our nation. By empowering 8,400 individuals, we are creating pathways out of poverty,” Odesola remarked. The training is designed to turn participants into “digital entrepreneurs.” The curriculum covers several critical areas of the modern economy: Content Creation & Animation Video Editing & Graphic Design Digital Marketing & Social Media Management Monetisation of Digital Skills The three-Sunday programme is scheduled to kick off on March 1, 2026. To ensure that the “digital divide” doesn’t stop those without internet access, the church has devised a unique hybrid learning model: The organisers emphasized that the programme is not restricted to RCCG members. It is open to students, job seekers, and entrepreneurs across Nigeria who are looking to compete in the global digital economy. By leveraging its vast network of parishes, RCCG Continent 3 hopes to honor Pastor Adeboye’s legacy of “raising empowered, purpose-driven individuals who positively impact society.” Post navigation Lagos Airport Fire Update: FAAN provides status report on 6 injured victims as recovery begins Oyo Govt Reaffirms Commitment to Health, Education as College of Nursing Holds 3rd Matriculation Ceremony
